2010 Specialties data now available!

The National Physician Survey (NPS) is Canada's most comprehensive and influential survey of physicians, medical residents and medical students.

The most recent survey data from 2010 provides a wealth of information on where and how physicians in Canada are working, and how the delivery of health care is changing along with the changes in population health care needs and technology.

To access the latest data and more detailed information on the methodology of the survey click on the 2010 Survey link in the left-hand menu.

The current release provides the data for Canadian physicians broken down by their specialty. Learn more about the differences and similarities in practice patterns of physicians working in different areas of Canadian health care. Data on collaboration and referral patterns has also been added to all previously posted datasets.
